Windows 8 has one of the most important feature in terms of the start screen with new features and totally new UI. While many users have complained about the new start screen, we have to accept the fact that it is way more usable than the traditional start menu.
Now to promote this new start screen, Microsoft (or rather the Windows team) has released a new Facebook app, Windows 8 cover photo creator, which will create a Facebook time line cover which is similar to Windows 8 start screen with tiles and images. It connects to your social stream to create a new Cover Photo. It’s fast and easy and has a degree of customization so you can pick and choose which photos and apps appear in certain tiles.
To get started, go to the app page and provide access to your account. Once authorized, the app will pick the images from your friends and create a start screen like cover for you. You can customize the images and select the background color which is pretty good. But the images on the cover can only be customized to a certain extend.
If you love the new start screen, this app is pretty good to display as a Facebook timeline cover. The app is available only for profiles and not for pages.
