The Windows Experience Index measures the capability of your computer’s hardware and software configuration and expresses this measurement as a number called a base score. A higher base score generally means that your computer will perform better and faster than a computer with a lower base score. This score might be important to play some games which requires your PC to have minimum score. Windows 7 Rating changer is a freeware tool to manually edit the Windows experience index.

Just run the tool and it populates the current experience index for various categories and also your final index score. The score currently range from 1.0 to 7.9 and you can manually change them and save the data. There is some programs and games which will check the Windows 7 rating as the tool for checking their minimum system requirements. so you can use this tool to edit the values.

You need to run this tool in administrator mode and once you save the values, you can open My computer>properties to view changes and the new score.

The tool is portable and easy to use.
