Iceland Volcano (Eyjafjallajokull) Eruption

Photographer Martin Rietze got to within 250 meters of the lava fountains to capture his stunning series of images.

Lava hits the sea from the volcanic eruption between the Myrdalsjokull and Eyjafjallajokull glaciers, east of Iceland's capital Reykjavik .

Only around an hour old, this lava flow is falling from a steep cliff a few hundred meters from the main eruption
