In case you have activated it with a valid key and at a later point of time, if you want to change the product keys, Office 2010 does not provide a direct interface to change it. To change the product keys, you need to run the installer and you can do it in 2 ways. Both of them actually involve the same method, but different ways to arrive at it.

But in case you want to remove this license information along with the key for changing the license information, then Office Key Remover might be helpful. It is a simple freeware tool which allows you to remove the license information of Office XP, Office 2003, Office 2007 and Office 2010.

All you need is to run this portable tool and select the version of installed Office suite. The application will remove the license information.

Instructions to change your Office product key:

  1. Run Office Key Remover
  2. Choose which version’s license data you want to be removed
  3. Start one of the Office products
  4. Enter another product key once you’re asked

This tool works on both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows and requires .Net framework 3.5.
